Enter with an objective
Each story establishes what matters, what can change, and the pressure shaping the opening decision.
The question
Interactive fiction can promise endless possibility while delivering choices that barely change anything. Good Nose Stories takes the opposite approach: a smaller, intentionally authored graph where decisions alter state, close routes, create consequences, and lead toward earned endings.
The reading experience stays quiet and comfortable. The machinery remains underneath the prose so the reader can focus on atmosphere, uncertainty, and what a decision says about the character making it.
The experience
The stories are written and curated as complete works rather than generated while someone reads.
Each story establishes what matters, what can change, and the pressure shaping the opening decision.
Decisions arrive after enough story to understand their stakes, without reducing the prose to a menu of tactics.
Endings follow from the path and its consequences; some routes may close or finish earlier than expected.
Inside the prototype
Comfortable typography, purposeful pacing, and low-friction feedback support the reading rather than compete with it.
What is being tested
The current local reader contains one evolving suspense story. Accounts, reading history, community publishing, and an open story marketplace remain outside this experiment while the core reading experience is tested.
